By: Miss Wulan
report text tentang kelapa

Coconut is a common name for the fruit of a tree of the palm family. It is classified as Cocos Nucifera. People usually call the tree coconut palm. Coconut palm trees grow well in tropical countries. They grow especially on sandy soils.
The trees can grow up to 30 m high. They have a single cylindrical trunk. At the top of the trunk, there is a crown of leaves. The leaves are long, about 3 to 4,5 m long. The fruit grows in clusters. In one cluster, there are about 5-20 coconuts. The fruit is oval and about 30 cm long. It has a thick husk and a hard shell. Inside the shell, there is white oily flesh. Inside the shell, there is also a sweet fluid.
Coconut is high in sugar. It also contains a lot of fat, protein and vitamin. The young coconut water can be very refreshing drink which contains a lot of minerals.
Coconut palms are very useful plants. People can use every single inch of the tree. They dry the coconut meat into copra. After that, they can get oil from it and use the trunks to build houses. For the roof, they dry the leaves. People can also make rope and doormats from the coconut’s husk.

My Holiday In Forest

The 4th Exercise Of Recount Text!

By: Miss Wulan
recount text tentang liburan di hutan

I went to forest last month. I went there to visit Australian volunteer English teachers in Maumere, Ende and Bajawa. As a result, I also enjoyed the beauty of the island.
I started my first day in Maumere with Jo Keating. After visiting several schools in the city, we took an amazing journey over the mountains to the south coast. We visited a new junior high school there. Then, I travelled to Ende to meet Sharoon Kidman. Ende has a great market with a lovely section of traditional woven ikat cloth and great seafood.
My next trip was to Detusuko. It is a mountain village. I went there with Ginny Edwards. Detsuko is not far from Mount Kelimutu. We woke up at 4 a.m to see the three different colored lakes at dawn. It was truly inspiring.
My final trip was to Bajawa. It is a small town high in the mountains. It was a very cool place. Yet my trip was fun and memorable. I would like to go back Flores one day.

We were fully shocked, it was a receipt of four night tour to Lombok. The expired date was that day. To our surprised, the name was Fanny Fenita and the birth date was exactly the same like Fanny my friend, and it was also valid for two persons. My God! We were thinking that maybe the coupon just fell from the sky and it was there for us.
